Where do you stand on cursing at work? Are you a casual curser and let the f-bombs fly whenever it suits your conversation? Do you keep work curse-free, but at home, it’s fine? Of course, the answers to these questions will differ based on personality, workplace culture, relationships with who you’re speaking with, etc. But you might be surprised to learn that over half the population believes it’s not okay to curse at work. That’s a lot of people and likely includes many of your coworkers. So, in this course, we’ll address both sides of the workplace cursing argument. We’ll discuss why people do it and go over the drawbacks of using bad language in the workplace. We’ll also touch on free speech and whether it protects employees who swear at work.
