Gender Equality - Advocating for Equal Pay for Equal Work
Women make up about half of the workforce, yet they get paid less than men in almost every occupation. In this program, we’ll discuss the gender pay gap and go over statistics that compare men’s and women’s salaries. We’ll talk about how to self-advocate for equal pay for equal work by understanding your worth and identifying your strengths. We’ll go over how to have this conversation with your manager. We’ll also talk to managers directly, to help them ensure that hiring and promotions are done equitably. Lastly, we’ll take a look at how the gender pay gap also affects nonbinary employees.
