• Recognize your role and responsibility to prevent and report abuse

Course overview

The goal of the course is to create awareness among the target audience about how to recognize signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in their adult patients and how and when to report their suspicions. Students will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, list the behaviors and characteristics of the abused and of an abuser, identify ways to protect patients, and understand how and when to report suspected abuse.
