Losing employees comes at great costs and yields negative ripple effects. According to the Society for Human Resources Management, or SHRM, the price of losing an employee, whether it’s voluntary or involuntary, is about six months of the base salary. And it takes approximately 42 days to fill an open position. These are grim statistics, but they demonstrate the importance of keeping good employees. This starts with having an excellent onboarding program. It’s so integral that we’re focusing this entire series on how to onboard well.
